What we failed to realize was… 

Donnell would leave us after 58 years of smiles, good conversations and great food. He loved Cooking for family and friends while making everyone comfortable with his stories and jokes and his wide-open heart. 

He introduced himself to the World as a strong drummer starting at Northwest Junior High in the band. He would always be drumming those drums as he walked home from school. It was that rhythm that he kept his entire life. He was known to all in Kansas City Kansas and Kansas City Missouri. He had friends and connections everywhere. His skills included pouring concrete, working on cars, especially detailing them and running tires. His hidden skills included singing, dancing and cooking. He enjoyed his life. He tried to always have as much fun and laughter as possible.
